Frequently Asked Questions

Is mining Dogecoin profitable?

Yes it is. Once you've looked at a few ASICs, run the numbers and see if you can afford the electricity to mine Dogecoin. If the numbers make sense, once you have your miners set up and connected to dogemine.com, you'll be securing the Dogecoin network. In return for securing the Dogecoin network, you'll passively recieve Dogecoin as a reward - even when you sleep (assuming the miner is running..).

Where do I buy an ASIC miner?

Check out our hardware comparison page for more information regarding what's on stock.

Can I mine with a GPU, CPU, or my phone?

Unfortunately, no. GPU and CPU mining doesn't yield many results when compared to the beasts known as ASIC miners. We recommend you purchase an ASIC miner or combine multiple GPUs.

How do I get paid and how much do you charge?

Depends.

If you're a juggernaut in Dogecoin mining, you'd join our SOLO pool. In this "payout scheme" the finder of the Block get's 99% of the total block reward. The other 1% goes to the pool.

In return for the 1% fee Dogemine.com collects, we promise you the highest performing Dogecoin mining pool on the planet. We're lighting fast, accurate, informative, and push for ecofriendly mining practices.

If you're more of a hobbist, or just starting out, you'll likely join our PPLNS pool. Pay Per Last N Shares means that you'll recieve your reward equivalent to your percentage contribution to the pool over an N window's period of time before block reward. In other words, if N is 10, and you contributed 50% of the shares in the last 10 rounds, you'll get 50% of the gross block reward. N is variable and related to the current Dogecoin network difficulty.

We're open to other payout schemes as well. Ping us on Discord if you're interested in a popular one!

Finally, we will send Dogecoin to your miner address every 7 minutes if your minimum balance is 250 Doge. Good luck and happy mining!
